How LessonCue handles data
Effective date: April 8, 2026. This policy explains what data LessonCue collects, why it is used, and how teachers can request support or deletion.
What we collect
We collect teacher account information such as name, email address, plan, quizzes created, and uploaded lesson notes. For classroom activity, we store quiz responses, student-entered names, class IDs, scores, and timestamps.
Why we use it
We use this data to generate quizzes, run live sessions, show results by student and class, improve product quality, prevent abuse, and support teachers when issues occur.
Student data
Students join from the browser with the name entered for the session. Schools and teachers should avoid entering sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to identify classroom performance.
Analytics and cookies
LessonCue uses essential authentication cookies and lightweight product analytics for page views, clicks, and session activity. These analytics help us understand reliability and product usage patterns.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and quiz data while an account remains active, unless deletion is requested or legal obligations require a different retention period. To request deletion, email info@lessoncue.com.
School compliance note
Schools remain responsible for evaluating whether LessonCue fits their FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, or local student privacy obligations. We can support school privacy reviews on request.
